• Some parents are simply low class and do not read or follow instructions. Have some pride and dignity and show the world you are not ghetto. Sadly there were 2 families at my son's graduation who behaved in this uncivilized manner.

• There's a difference between cheering and acting like a fool.

• They didn't ban cheering, they asked the parents to keep it civil and not turn it into a three ring circus. Everyone may applaud and cheer but not act like a baboon in heat.

• Portia: The schools could have two ceremonies. One for respectful parents who are educated and civilized, the other for parents who have no earthly idea how to conduct themselves in public.

• Sue, sue, that's all people think about. Jenny, just how many hours did your graduation take? 5, 6, 7? Be happy and joyful but do not act out like a clown and drag the ceremony on for hours!

• If she is indeed receiving a PHD I am surprised she chooses to walk. Please do not bring your whistle.
